Graduate Spotlight: Her day starts at 4 a.m. and doesn’t slow down much from there.

Paige Agnew, a Virginia Beach native, is graduating this month with a Ph.D. in kinesiology and rehabilitation from the ODU College of Health Sciences. Her research focuses on how individuals with lower extremity amputation walk and run — work that’s helping improve movement, recovery and quality of life.

Along the way, she’s built a career that blends research, teaching and hands-on work with clients across the community.

Our new accelerated MD program will allow select students, committed to emergency medicine, to complete their medical degree in three years. The pilot initiative aims to reduce training time, help address physician shortages and encourage more graduates to remain in Hampton Roads.
