Our intrepid team of trekkers at the base of Franklin Falls on the South Fork of the Snoqualmie River.
This group shot of the Microsoft Pix team was created without a tripod or self-timer by using the feature in the Microsoft Pix camera app.
I started the panorama capture and, at the half-way point, had my colleague Chintan (he's on the far left) break from the group and finish the shot as I jumped in (that's me on the far right).

Our team took a short hike up the South Fork of the Snoqualmie River to Franklin Falls. Lots of hikers taking a break around the river and pools, so it was a challenge to get a 'clean' shot of the falls.

To get this shot, I walked up to the water's edge and used the feature in the camera app to create a multi-angle composite photo that included the rocks in the foreground and the cliffs and sky in the background.

An otherwise impossible shot with a cell phone...

A super wide-angle interior view of the graffiti bus abandoned in a field outside of Washtucna, Washington. ⠀

This is an impossible shot using just a cell phone's native camera alone, but the feature in the Microsoft Pix camera app allowed me to "paint" the scene by moving the iPhone up & down and back & forth to capture all the elements inside the bus. ⠀

Photosynth adjusts the exposure and automatically stitches all the images together to make a perfect wide-angle composite photo.⠀

The Terrell Library in the heart of the Washington State University campus features a unique cone shaped skylight that provides ample natural lighting to the round atrium below.⠀

To capture the entire atrium in a single shot, it was photographed using the feature on the camera app on an iPhone 7+.⠀

Gas Works Park on Seattle’s Lake Union is the site of the former Seattle Gas Light Company gasification plant. The gas generator towers were built in 1937 and are 80’ high. ⠀

This is a photographic challenge when trying to include the entire plant from this particular vantage point using an iPhone. By using the feature on the camera app, I was able to move the camera back-and-forth and up-and-down capturing all the elements desired for the final image. ⠀
⠀
The new version of Photosynth quickly stitched together a composite image creating a super wide-angle photo of the scene.⠀

This big red barn in Issaquah, WA has been converted into an antique store and the lone bicycle parked outside created an interesting composition. However, the narrow walkway between the other stores made it impossible to capture the bike, barn, and sky with the phone's native camera. ⠀

By using the Photosynth feature on the Microsoft Pix camera app, I was able to move the phone up & down, and back & forth, to capture all the details I wanted to include within the photo. then stitched together this remarkable wide-angle panorama.
