The FAFSA is integral to unlocking financial aid such as scholarships and grants, but many students and families find themselves confused while filing. Bergen’s Office of Financial Aid is hosting workshops for students to complete the FAFSA application with support from a financial aid advisor.

Workshops will take place on select Wednesdays from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m. in the Sidney Silverman Library, Room L-222.

For more information, email Bergen’s Office of Financial Aid at financial.aid@bergen. Students can also visit an advisor at the One Stop Center, located on the first floor of the Pitkin Education Center.

After working in the special education field for 20 years, Bergen alumna Katie Conte, ‘22, enrolled at Bergen to advance her career.

Conte worked alongside her mentor and professor Melissa Krieger, Ed.D., to stay on the right track to become a teacher. She was also named the class of 2022 valedictorian. Conte currently serves as the adult service manager at Bergen County Special Services.

“The faculty at Bergen not only want to see their students succeed, but they become a part of their cheering section,” said Conte. “Bergen is more than an investment in knowledge, it is an investment in the future.”
