💛🤍 Happy Juneteenth from the Philos of Lambda Eta Sigma! 🤍💛

Today, we honor Juneteenth; a celebration of freedom, resilience, and the enduring pursuit of justice and equality.

On June 19, 1865, enslaved Africans in Galveston, Texas, finally learned they were free, more than two years after the Emancipation Proclamation was issued. Juneteenth stands as a powerful reminder of the strength, perseverance, and determination of those who came before us.

As Philos and Friends of Lambda Eta Sigma Chapter of Sigma Gamma Rho Sorority, Inc., we join in celebrating the rich history, culture, and contributions of African Americans while honoring the legacy of those who fought for freedom and opportunity for future generations.

Today, we reflect on the past, celebrate the present, and remain hopeful for a brighter future built on unity, service, and progress.

This Memorial Day, the Lambda Eta Sigma Philo Affiliates pause to honor and remember the brave men and women who made the ultimate sacrifice in service to our nation.

Today, we reflect with gratitude on the courage, dedication, and selflessness of those who gave their lives to protect the freedoms we enjoy every day. Their sacrifice will never be forgotten.

As Philos, we remain committed to service, compassion, and uplifting our communities while honoring the legacy of those who served before us.
