Though Diana Lysova is now a SCI alumna, she acknowledges that learning doesn’t end as her professional career takes off at PNC: “I know there is so much more to learn, especially in a field like quant analysis. For anyone looking to pursue a similar career path, I would recommend statistics classes and a willingness to keep learning always.”

A recent NSF grant is bringing interdisciplinary research and innovation between SCI and the Swanson School of Engineering together.

“Quantum computing is becoming increasingly relevant across science and engineering, and this grant helps train students to work across computer science, physics, and engineering,” Junyu Liu, an assistant professor at SCI, said.
