The greatest highlight of our time in South Africa was undoubtedly the music-making. We were honored to learn from extraordinary music educators whose artistry, generosity, and passion inspired us every step of the way.

We are deeply grateful to everyone who helped make this adventure possible, and singing alongside one of South Africa’s finest choirs was simply unforgettable. A remarkable collaboration, meaningful new friendships, and memories that will last a lifetime. We can’t wait to return. 🇿🇦

From extraordinary music-making and new friendships to breathtaking landscapes, powerful history, and now lions, nyalas, sable antelope, and giraffes in the wild…this journey changed us all! 🇿🇦

Every day we spend in South Africa teaches us something extraordinary. Today we learned about the Zulu, Xhosa, Sotho, Tswana, Tsonga, Venda, and other cultural groups whose traditions continue to shape this nation. What an adventure we are on! 🇿🇦

Today’s visit to the Nokuphila School was extraordinary. These 407 children come from one of the poorest villages in South Africa, where crime, violence, HIV, and extreme poverty are their reality. Yet what we experienced today was joy, resilience, hope, and an overwhelming love of dance and music.

Our UT Dallas Choirs students will never forget these these remarkable children. A profoundly moving and humbling day for us all. 🇿🇦
