🌟 Central Valley Project Info Session 🌟

The Central Valley Project (CVP) is a student-led organization at UCLA that supports high school and community college students from the Central Valley on their journey to higher education. We host in-person bi-weekly mentorship sites, lead hands-on college readiness workshops, and build a strong community at UCLA for students from the Central Valley, all for free, in Porterville.

All high school and community college students are welcome to attend! If that sounds like something you’d like to learn more about, join us at our Info Session:

Hello everyone! Our students from local Porterville High Schools are working with the Central Valley Project at UCLA on a community service event. For our community service project, we are raising funds to donate resources to local agricultural workers. This would include supplies such as sunblock, bandanas, work gloves, clothing, etc. We ask for your support and donations in helping us reach our goal, anything helps!

💡 Important: Please bring your parents' 2023 tax information so we can help you complete your 2025-26 FAFSA or CADAA (California Dream Act Application).

✅ Come at any time between 10 AM and 2 PM—no appointment needed!
✅ Parents are encouraged to attend! We will have people who speak Spanish to assist.
✅ Open to all students and families who need financial aid assistance
✅ Get help in a supportive, student-led environment

The Central Valley Project at UCLA is having its first site this Saturday, November 2nd at Granite Hills High School, from 10 am to 2 pm! Our UCLA students are thrilled to meet local high school students and provide resources and information on higher education, college applications, and more.

We’ll also be back on November 16th and November 23rd—same place, same time!

This event is open to everyone and completely free! Whether you're thinking about college or just want to learn more about your options, we're here to help.

The Central Valley Project (CVP) at UCLA is thrilled to announce our scholarship program for all Central Valley students! 🌟 This scholarship is open to students at any grade level planning to enroll in any higher education institution, whether it's a university, college, or vocational school.

Here's what you need to know:

- 📅 Deadline: Monday, May 27th, 2024, at 11:59 pm. No late submissions are accepted.
- 📑 Eligibility: Open to Central Valley students. You must complete the application by the deadline.
- 📌 Application Checklist:
- Completed Application
- 2 Short Essay Responses
- Unofficial high school transcript
- Headshot
- Optional but strongly encouraged: A letter of recommendation from a teacher, coach, or counselor. (Recommenders cannot be CVP staff/volunteers.)
