The Charles Gilpin Players The Charles Gilpin Players are the performance troupe from Prairie View A&M University's Theater Department.

The Charles Gilpin Players or CGP, is the oldest, consistently performing theatre company for people of color in Texas, having been founded in 1929
by Dr. Earl Sasser, head of the English Department. CGP has been producing plays annually since 1930, providing the Prairie View
A&M campus and community with a form of cultural entertainment previously non-existent in Waller County.
