About Us
Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated is dedicated to implementing programs of service that enhance the social, economic, and educational well-being of the local, national and international communities. Locally, the Tau Theta Omega Chapter of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated, sponsors a scholarship program for graduating seniors in Gadsden County and oversees a program for young girls aged 12 – 17. The Tau Theta Omega Chapter has sponsored several financial literacy workshops within the community, supports health initiatives affecting African American women and has worked with other organizations to promote local community initiatives such as voter education, childhood hunger and education.
