Join us on our first Spring event, the FAM tour on March20th! The purpose of this familiarization tour is to provide students with knowledge and experience with four of downtown Raleigh’s locally owned and operated tourism businesses. At each stop we will receive an introduction to the owner and the tourism business itself, which will provide students with a wide variety of unique info about things to do in their own backyard! RSVP through the QR code and Google Form - see you all there!

Meet our Secretary, Dana! “Hey everyone! My name is Dana, and I’m a senior studying Parks, Recreation, and Tourism Management with a concentration in Sustainable Tourism, and I’m also minoring in Psychology. Travel and tourism is something that I have always been passionate about, and being here in PRTM as well as TMA at N.C. State has only reinforced that so much more! I plan to continue my journey in the tourism industry after I graduate in May 2020! Outside of school, I love staying active through working out and playing soccer, traveling, and spending time with the people I love.”

Meet our Vice President, KJ! “Hey y’all! My name is Kendall Jane Vaughn and I’m a Senior from Mount Airy, NC. I’m currently double majoring in Professional Golf Management and Sustainable Tourism. I starting playing golf when I was 8-9 (rough estimate) and played through high school, so I’ve always loved golf and seeing how it works into the world of tourism. I currently work at a golf gear and apparel company called Stitch Golf, based in Apex, and have been here for the last two years completing two internships.
My hobbies include everything from traveling, water and snow sports, yoga, and scrolling through the puppy feed on Instagram.” Follow along for more intros of our members!

Meet our President, Alyssa! Here’s her introduction: “Hey friends!! My name is Alyssa Stroker and I am the TMA President. I am a super senior studying Parks, Recreation and Tourism Management with a concentration in Sustainable Tourism approaching graduation in May! My next step is to join the Peace Corps before applying for grad school. I would love to work with a nonprofit partnering with a women’s cooperative in a marginalized community to provide economic opportunities to enhance their livelihoods.
Outside of my academics, my favorite hobby is anything in the outdoors — hiking, biking, visiting local parks, etc.”
