We’re proud to present the Healthy South Texas Program along with a fun and engaging smoothie demonstration to promote healthy lifestyles for families.

The Walk Across Texas! Kickoff Pep Rally at Pittman and L.C. Smith Elementary energized students to get moving and make healthier choices. During their Physical Education classes, over 900 students actively participated, promoting the importance of physical activity and a healthy lifestyle.

Healthy People of Willacy County Coalition met on Tuesday, April 29, 2026, for a planning Dinner Tonight Emergency Preparedness meeting that will take place in Lasara on Tuesday, June 23, 2026.

Photos include a Team Building in Action where the coalition members came together for a team-building Marshmallow Challenge—a fun, hands-on activity focused on teamwork, communication, and problem-solving.

By working together, the team strengthens partnerships and create healthier communities across Willacy County.

Partnered with Behavioral Health Solutions to deliver gardening education using the Learn, Grow, Eat, & Go! curriculum. A total of 16 participants engaged in hands-on learning, gaining valuable knowledge on gardening practices, nutrition, and healthy lifestyles.
