I just saw this commercial on the VP sponsored Restoration PAC is a political action committee based out of Downers Grove, Illinois. The group, which identifies itself as nonpartisan, "sponsors political activities advocating for policy changes and/or the election or defeat of candidates on the basis of their adherence to the Founded by the Republicans. The group was founded in January 2015 by Doug Truax, who was a Republican candidate in the 2014 U.S. Senate election in Illinois.
Campaign activity 2018
As of August 6, 2018, Restoration PAC had spent $5,356,227 during the 2018 election cycle in support of or in opposition to political candidates. Of that amount, $4,176,168 was spent in support of Republican candidates and the remaining $651,374 was spent in opposition to Democratic candidates. The candidate Restoration PAC had spent the most in support of was Kevin Nicholson (R), who unsuccessfully ran for U.S. Senate in Wisconsin. The candidate Restoration PAC had spent the most to oppose was Tammy Baldwin (D), who ran for U.S. Senate in Wisconsin.
