The chapter continued to expand and be a force in the community through active engagement in health, reading, mathematics, science and career programs. Local programs that have aligned with the international programs over the years included: Reading One-to-One, an after school program, Young Author’s Program involving elementary students in book writing and publication competition and the Arts. Iota Pi Omega Chapter sponsored the Ebony fashion fair for many years as one of its fundraisers and still sponsors the biannual Calendar Girl and Little Miss Fashionetta pageants.
