A Kriolu Language Journey to Cabo Verde is coming in November 2026!! Kriolu Basics has partnered with A Vontade Tours for an immersive language and cultural experience that will include two islands and so many opportunities to learn Kriolu while exploring and learning more about Cabo Verde.

Join us at 7pm est on Thursday, June 4th for a Live Conversation about the upcoming journey, with Djofa Tavares of Kriolu Basics and Joli Moniz of A Vontade Tours. We will be sharing all the tea and answering your questions.

This Mother's Day, we remember the true meaning of this day. A day demonstrating the power of mothers...the power to stand strong against abuse, tyranny, and hate. A perfect pair that captures words, history, and culture of Cabo Verde. The first of its kind, Kriolu to English Capeverdean Dictionary (2015) was the foundation for the newly released English to Kriolu Capeverdean Dictionary (2025), each written by Manuel Da Luz Goncalves.

This is a time for renewal, change and growth. After 40 days of restraining, releasing and reflecting, now is the time to create.
