Dr. Moore is teaching a new MEEN elective this fall! If you are in need of this credit, check out the attached flier and read the following message below.

"Due to some very recent shifting in teaching assignments for the coming Fall quarter, I am happy to announce that I will be teaching a new MEEN technical elective: MEEN 450C-002 - Advanced Fluid Dynamics (flier attached).

This course will cover a fairly wide variety of topics, including but not limited to:
- Incompressible flow over wings, planes, cars, and other bodies
- Prediction of lift and drag forces
- Fundamentals of compressible flow including normal and oblique shocks
- Operating principles and engineering considerations for rocket engines and supersonic flight
- Laminar and turbulent boundary layer analyses
- Computational fluid dynamics as a design tool, including best practices

The class will meet MWF 11-12:15. Prereqs are MEMT313 and MATH245.

Even if you are not interested, please help spread the word among your classmates who are in need of a Fall technical elective.

For those of you who are interested in registering, please be advised that, due to this being a late add, the class appears on BOSS as MEEN-450C-002 SPECIAL PROBLEMS, Call number 11801. So long as I'm the instructor listed, you've got the right class. Space is limited to 25 seats."
