In recognition of National Small Business Week, May 3–9, 2026, announced that it has signed the Healthcare Anchor Network’s Impact Procurement Commitment for 2026–30 for the first time, marking an important milestone in its ongoing efforts to strengthen communities through purchasing practices.

“As we look ahead, we are energized by the opportunity to deepen our impact,” said Khoban Kochai, director of UC Davis Health's Anchor Institution Mission in the Office for Health Equity by Design for Inclusive Excellence (HEDI). “Through AIM, we view procurement as a critical lever for change — one that enables us to reinvest in our communities and support businesses that reflect and serve them. We look forward to collaborating with peers across the Healthcare Anchor Network and to continuing this work together.”
