🎓Senior Spotlight: Tim Benson🎓

Tim Benson is a Finance and Business Economics major from Gaithersburg, MD. Tim has been working in the CSA for four semesters as an SI Leader and a Tutor for FINA 311.

Tim has taken on a lot of leadership in his roles. He has been a mentor for new SI Leaders, and he often shares advice with other students in the Perdue school. He has enjoyed the relationships he has built with CSA staff and the community environment we have built.

After graduation, Tim will be moving to New York City to work for a financial services firm.

Alyson is a Biology major from Woodbine, MD. She has been tutoring BIOL classes in the CSA for three semesters.

While working in the CSA, Alyson has enjoyed helping her peers succeed. After graduation, she’ll be traveling over the summer and then working in the Biology industry!

Sam Watson is a Biology and Exercise Science major from Holbrook, NY. She has been working as a BIOL Tutor and SI Leader in the CSA for four semesters. Sam has taken a big leadership role within the CSA. She mentors new tutors in their first semester of the program, and she often takes on extra tutoring time to help students.

Sam has loved getting to build relationships with CSA staff and the students who use our services. After graduation, she will be starting a Doctor of Physical Therapy program.

Chelsea is a Nursing major from Mount Airy, MD. She has been supporting Nursing and BIOL in the CSA for 3 semesters as a tutor and an SI Leader!

While tutoring, Chelsea has enjoyed being able to watch students make connections with the content, and she loves when a student finally understands something they were confused about!

After graduation, Chelsea will be an Emergency Department nurse.

Owen is an Information Systems major from Leonardtown, MD. This was his first semester working in the CSA as an intern, where he worked closely with the staff to help us organize and manage the data we have collected over the years about our support programs.

Owen jumped right into working with us and quickly became an important part of our team. His favorite part about his internship with the CSA was how welcoming and supportive the environment is. He has enjoyed collaborating with the team and sharing his ideas.

Kennedy Thornton is an Exercise Science major from York, PA. She has been supporting MATH 155 as an SI Leader for 6 semesters! She is officially our longest-standing SI Leader this semester, and has even taken on mentoring new SI Leaders to help them with their transition into the program.

Paige is a Nursing major from Parkville, MD. She has been working with the CSA for 6 semesters and has supported a wide range of BIOL, HLSC, and NURS classes with SI and Tutoring.

Paige has loved gaining confidence in her public speaking skills and she has found it rewarding when students tell her they’ve done better in their class after attending SI or Tutoring with her.
