💭 “Why can’t I keep up?”

Because your brain is making too many decisions.

🧠 ADHD Tip:
Pre-decide your week.

Less deciding = more clarity.

👉 It’s not about willpower. It’s about structure.

Sometimes it’s not one big thing.

It’s everything.

💛 You’re not behind.
You’re carrying a lot.

🧠 ADHD Tip:
Do a 10-minute brain sweep.
Get it out of your head.

✨ Your brain isn’t broken.
It’s overloaded.

💔 And then the questions start…

Why can’t I keep up?
Why does everything feel like a giant test?
Why do I have to take care of everything?

I should be able to do this… right?
If only I had started sooner.
I should have figured this out by now.

💭 Maybe your internal dialogue sounds like this:

“Why is May always such a struggle?”
“I’ve handled things before… what’s happening now?”
“I always fall apart this time of year.”
“If I just tried harder, this would work.”

💛 Wait a minute. I hear you.

And I want you to hear me.

You are not falling behind.
You are not failing.

You are doing a lot.

Your brain is overwhelmed… but it is not broken.

🧠 This isn’t about trying harder.

It’s about reducing the number of decisions your brain has to make.

🧠 ADHD Tip:
Pre-decide your week.

When you decide ahead of time,
you free up energy for what actually matters.

🌸 May isn’t just busy… it’s mentally loud.

Too many decisions.
Too many moving parts.

🧠 ADHD Tip:
Brain sweep it all out of your head.

You’re not behind.
You’re overloaded.

When you have a lot of deciding to do, your brain gets tired of deciding.

🧠 ADHD Tip:
Pre-decide one part of your week.

🌸 May is… a lot.

Mother’s Day comes in with all the emotion.
The cards. The memories. The gratitude. The ache.
The quiet questions about the season you’re in.

And then—almost overnight—it’s over.

And we shift gears.

Now we’re sprinting toward:

-commencements
-end-of-school deadlines
-parties and celebrations
-tracking down missing assignments

At the same time, you’re:

-planning summer schedules
-coordinating camps, travel, family time
-hoping—somewhere in there—you might get a little rest

And let’s be honest…
Work doesn’t slow down.
Life doesn’t pause.

💭 For the ADHD thinker, this isn’t just busy… it’s disorienting.

Constant switching.
Interruptions.
Changing plans.

It can feel like whiplash.

And eventually, your brain gets tired of deciding.

💛 So if you feel scattered right now…

You’re not failing.
Your load has increased.

🧠 ADHD Tip:
Do a 10-minute brain sweep.
Get everything out of your head and onto paper.

✨ You don’t need a new brain.
You need better support for the one you have.

When you’re overwhelmed,
everything feels complicated.

💛 What if this week was about simpler… not more?

🧠 ADHD Tip:
Ask: “What’s the easiest version of this?”
