UCSC Rover Team 2014 The UCSC Rover team will build a robot that can autonomously locate and retrieve samples in wide and varied terrains

The UCSC Autonomous Rover team will build a robot that can autonomously locate and retrieve samples in wide and varied terrains without the use of terrestrial specific technology in compliance with the rules and regulations set forth by the NASA Centennial Challenge Committee. The technology that is being utilized in the rover can be used in extra-terrestrial environments and it could also be used

to identify and retrieve objects in an indoor setting, where GPS and magnetometers cannot be used as well.
