Hi all, I think this may be of interest to some in this group since it includes interviews with NPR alumni like Jim Anderson and Leslie Gaston-Bird. The second edition of my third book, How Does It Sound Now? was just released on Routledge. It's a tribute to our mentors addressing the changes we've seen in the industry, and it includes interviews with many of the engineers and producers who shaped the music business over the last 80 years.
If you are interested, the engineers and producers I interviewed from 2008 - 2010 include Phil Ramone, Alan Parsons, Al Schmitt, Elliot Scheiner, Chuck Ainlay, Leslie Gaston-Bird, Geoff Emerick, Cowboy Jack Clement, Ed Cherney, Bil Vorn Dick, Bob Katz, Bob Ludwig, Leanne Ungar, Leslie Mona-Mathus, Jim Anderson, Marc Aubort, Jim Malloy, Don Puluse, Gary Chester, Glen Snoddy, Danny Leake, Steve Epstein, Lou Bradley, Jim Reeves, Dave Moulton, Ben Wisch, Paul Stubblebine, Bill Schulenburg, Bob Clearmountain, Gene Eichelberger, Fred Breitberg, and Frank Filipetti.
