Happy Independence Day to the Dominican Republic 🇩🇴! Today marks 179 years of freedom.

❤️ The capital, Santo Domingo, is the oldest city in the Americas.

❤️ The white cross on the flag represents salvation, the red represents the blood of heroes that fought for independence, and the blue represents liberty.

❤️ 🇩🇴 has the highest peak in the Caribbean, Pico Duarte.

Hi CSA Family! ❤️💛💚 We hope you’ve enjoyed Homecoming and Black History Month thus far! We are hosting a shirt design contest starting today from next Sunday for the next CSA shirt.👚 This Thursday, you can come in person to draw and submit your design while catching up with your E-board and friends or you can submit online early (and still come to mingle!!) 😉 Fill out the Google Form in our bio if you’d like to do an online submission.

Since this is a contest, winner 🏆 gets:

-> their design published
-> free merch

Since this is our first GBM of the semester, we’ll have a lot to talk about like new E-board members, Spring events, and org updates so make sure not to miss out on this meeting! We can’t wait to see you 🤗

Happy Independence Day Grenada 🇬🇩! Today marks 49 days of freedom!

🤍 🇬🇩 is also known as the Island of Spice due to its large production of spices, particularly nutmeg which can be seen on the flag.

🤍 Grand Etang, a lake in 🇬🇩, is said to be bottomless, be the home of the Loch Ness Monster and have mermaids!

🤍 🇬🇩’s Moliniere underwater sculpture park is the first of its kind in the world.

Happy Black History Month! We are looking forward to celebrating with all of our members and the wider Black Mason community. With the recent heartbreaking death of Tyre Nichols at the hands of Memphis police, we are entering this month saddened by the continual failure of American systems to keep us safe. However, we are committed to advocating for Black, African, and Caribbean prosperity, happiness, and solidarity to combat the oppression we live under every day. We hope to see you soon so we can embrace you and remind you that your community at CSA and Mason is looking out for you.

Happy Independence Day Suriname 🇸🇷! Today marks 47 years of freedom.

❣️Suriname is the smallest country in South America in terms of land and population.

❣️The official language is Dutch and Suriname used to be called Dutch Guiana, similar to British Guiana which is now Guyana 🇬🇾 and French Guiana 🇬🇫.

❣️The Suriname people are mostly Indo-Pakistani, Maroon, Suriname Creole aka Afro-Surinamese, and Javanese aka Indonesian.
