The Psychology department is pleased to welcome Dr. Gwynne Davis as a new Assistant Professor in our behavioral neuroscience line.

Dr. Davis has been a Visiting Assistant Professor for the 2022-23 academic year and we've already seen her outstanding abilities as a teacher-scholar.

This Fall Gwynne taught a First Year Seminar on historical developments in neuroscience. One technology topic in the FYS was optogenetics. As Gwynne & students studied opto's development they asked important questions about how scientific credit is awarded.

Gwynne's research area is generally in rodent models of human behavior. One recent publication that shows some of her wide interests is here:

The Psychology department is excited to welcome Gwynne and know she'll continue to be an inspiring teacher and a great guide for student research.

[I'll go to the booth on that one, subscribers, and get back to you] I had several more great shots that were unfortunately blurry, maybe because I was laughing so much. The camaraderie was wonderful.
