Tonight, the Moon Has a Story to Tell…

Tonight, August 27, the sky is giving us something beautiful deep partial lunar eclipse, with nearly 96% of the Moon passing into Earth’s shadow. Here in St. Louis, the eclipse reaches its maximum around 11:12 PM, when the Moon takes on that beautiful coppery, reddish glow.

But beyond the science, there’s something poetic about watching the Moon disappear into darkness only to slowly find its light again.

Maybe that’s the reminder we need tonight:

Darkness doesn’t mean the light is gone. Sometimes, we simply have to move through the shadow.

Tonight feels like a beautiful moment to pause, breathe, and think about what we are ready to release.

Release the expectations.
Release the relationships that leave you questioning your worth.
Release the version of yourself you had to become just to survive.
Release what no longer feels aligned.

And make room for what’s next.

Let the eclipse take what you no longer need. Let the returning light remind you who you are becoming.

Stand outside for a few minutes tonight. Look up. Put your phone down. Take a breath.

There is something humbling about realizing that while we are worrying about tomorrow, the universe is quietly putting on a show above us.

I am steady. I am becoming.
And tonight, I’m letting the old version of me fall into the shadow.
