❄️ So happy New Year? 😊 Seeing I haven’t posted since Thanksgiving, I took a pic of my new laptop case I just finished. I rarely take the time to sew for myself, so I’m really pleased with this bag! I spent last month sewing lots of gifts for family and have just started my first quilt for 2026.

The Sea Ranch Quilt 🖤🩶❤️

This quilt was several months in the making and I’m so in love with how it turned out! Designed by artist .clauss.studio and her architect husband, I was able to transform their vision, drawings, and color palette into this beautiful custom quilt for their new home. They were an absolute dream to work with and their creative partnership was very inspiring! Thank you Diana and Mark for trusting me with this project and for your endless patience with the process!

💙💚 The most requested baby boy palette for the past few years! Blues, greens, and neutrals look so good with any pattern. This customer requested something a little traditional and a little modern so we updated a traditional Irish chain quilt pattern to fit perfectly with the vibe of the nursery.

💍 A custom quilted wall hanging to celebrate a second wedding anniversary. And it looks great on my table too!

❤️ Helen, from Nebraska, contacted me to create a wall hanging she could gift her husband for their second wedding anniversary. The traditional gift for a second anniversary is cotton, which symbolizes strength and comfort, flexibility and connectivity, and interconnectedness in marriage. We discussed several ideas for design and agreed that the perfect design was the double wedding ring pattern. She truly thought of everything to make this anniversary gift extra special.🥰

From scrap bin to fabulous!

When Anne, from Washington, found a beautiful quilt top in a scrap bin at her local antique store, she contacted me to finish the quilt and rework it into a jacket and crossbody bag. The quilt top had some minor stains and was stretched out in a few places but the overall condition of it was good! I knew it could be finished into something that Anne would love.

I chose 100% cotton batting and fabrics for the backing (coat lining) and binding. It took a lot of starch and patience to quilt through the stretched and warped parts of the top, but it was so fun to finish what someone else had started. I hope the original maker would be proud to see that her project was finished turned into wearable works of art.

🐝🌺🐦 What I’ve been working on…

I’ve had eight commissions come in recently and I’m overjoyed with the love and creativity that I get to share with each project. Quilts, jackets, bags and a wall hanging! I’ll eventually get photos up of some of them, but those who watch my stories have seen little snippets of my works in progress.

Let’s chat about this sweet baby quilt! I’m honored to have made quilts for all three grandchildren for this customer (and friend 🥰.) Each quilt has been so thoughtfully planned by her to reflect something special about each grandchild. I’m just so lucky to get to be part of this❤️.

🤍 This beautiful Double Wedding Ring quilt was gifted to my husband and I from his grandmother in 1993. It is queen sized and entirely hand pieced and hand quilted! I didn’t understand the time involved in this work of art until I became a quilter myself. I love to trace the stitches with my finger and wonder how she did it so perfectly. I learn so much every time I sit with it! I have started a hand pieced quilt that I know will take me another year to complete. I hope it will be cherished as much as this one is.

🤍 I hang all of my quilts along this railing to dry after washing. This time I just had to get a photo with the snowy trees in the background.
