Congratulations to former APAP scholarship recipient Jewel Evans on earning her master’s degree in public health from the Brown School!

Brown School student Jewel Evans, at Washington University in St. Louis, has a passion for equity-based urban planning. Her goal is to create equitable land use policies that can positively impact disenfranchised populations.

Follow along with Admission Officer Dacoda Scarlett’s fall travels to recruit students in rural areas and small towns in Missouri and Illinois.

Washington University in St. Louis’ Heartland Initiative aims to expand educational access to students from small towns in Missouri and southern Illinois. This September and October, an admissions team logged nearly 10,000 miles traveling to 80 schools in rural Missouri and Illinois.

APAP Virtual Admissions Update and Hot Topics

You’ll hear from Director of Undergraduate Admissions Grace Chapin James and Assistant Vice Provost & Director of Student Financial Services Mike Runiewicz who will share updates about the WashU admissions and student financial assistance process, as well as other current issues in
undergraduate admissions.

The Office of Undergraduate Admissions announced exciting news this morning! Beginning in fall 2024, federal loans for undergraduate students will be removed from all financial aid packages and replaced with scholarships and university grants ensuring that ALL admitted students can obtain a world-class WashU education without going in to debt.

Washington University in St. Louis will adopt a "no-loan" financial aid policy beginning in fall 2024, Chancellor Andrew D. Martin announced.
