Hey, folks. If you have time for a survey, consider the request below!

*************************************
Hello,
I’m writing because I am an Audiology Doctoral student working under the mentorship of Dr. Brittan Barker, an Associate Professor in Speech and Hearing Sciences at Utah State University and we are conducting a research study with Audiologists and SLPs practicing in the United States.

We are specifically interested in better understanding Audiologist’s and SLP’s pathways that led them to careers in speech and hearing sciences. As a first step towards this understanding, we are conducting a survey study with Audiologists and SLPs who have worked in the U.S. for at least 1 year.

If you qualify and would be interested in participating in our study, you can follow this link https://usu.co1.qualtrics.com/jfe/form/SV_5dOK0zNxYPfVCQu and complete the survey. The survey is estimated to take 10 to 15 minutes to complete.

If you have any questions about our study, or if you are interested in helping—please call the lab at 435-797-5748. If no one is available to answer the phone, please leave a message and they will return your call promptly. You can also reach out to the Aural Rehabilitation lab via email at [email protected] for more information.

Please feel free to share this information with your colleagues that might be interested in helping with our study, IRB #15881. Thank you for your consideration.

CDIS student Lauren Whitmarsh took this fantastic shot yesterday evening of the northern lights over Stillwater! If you missed them, you should have another chance tonight if you look to the north well after sunset and up to around midnight! Just make sure you're someplace dark. Light pollution will make them difficult to see.

It was a pleasure to be at the University of Tulsa this past Friday for the 2025 OSHA Convention! There were talks on dynamic assessment, AAC, autism, hearing loss, TBI, APD, and so much more! Our Praxis Bowl competed at the end of the evening with TU, OU, and NSU. The team included (left to right) Saige Sager, Zoie Iglesias, Brooks Langham, Faith Dodd, and faculty coach Dr. Peter Richtsmeier. Not pictured but playing a huge role was Ms. Kristi Carpenter who supplied the team shirts! It was a great time watching these future SLPs compete!
