The SHPE Mentorship Program allows SHPE members the opportunity to learn from students who've already taken higher-level classes, been through SHPE Convention, taken internships, or explored graduate school. MentorSHPE helps members get more involved and really embraces the aspect of Familia!

Build Your Resume: Gain hands-on leadership and mentoring experience.
Strengthen Communication: Practice explaining research, coursework, and technical concepts in simple terms.
Expand Your Network: Connect with SHPE members and the professional community.
Support Undergraduate Research: Help mentees explore research interests and potential lab opportunities.
Give Back: Share the experiences and advice you wish you had as an undergraduate.
Flexible Commitment: Approximately 1 hour per week + monthly SHPE events.
Have Fun: Participate in professional and bonding challenges, including bonus activities such as scavenger hunts.
Graduate mentors will be distributed across four SHPE teams and will participate in the same challenges to ensure a fair experience. During weekly meetings, mentors can guide conversations around academics, research, careers, technical skills, internships, and professional development.
