The UCLA South Bay Network Pier to Pier Walk is back — starting at the Hermosa Pier and strolling along the beautiful Strand to Manhattan Beach Pier and back. Enjoy lively conversation, ocean breezes, and the iconic coastal views that make the South Bay so special. 💙🐻💛

After the walk, stick around for a casual brunch and even more great connections with the Bruin community! Friends, family, strollers, and pups are all welcome.

Join the UCLA community for an unforgettable evening at the iconic Hollywood Bowl featuring Chance the Rapper as we come together to celebrate culture, community, and freedom. 🎤🎶

We’ll kick off the night with a festive picnic starting at 6:00 PM before the concert—great food, wine, non-alcoholic beverages, and even better company! 🧺🍷✨

One of our favorite South Bay traditions is back! Join the UCLA South Bay Network for our Pier to Pier Walk as we take in the beautiful ocean views, connect with fellow Bruins, and enjoy great conversation along the iconic Strand. 💙💛

We’ll walk from Hermosa Beach Pier to Manhattan Beach Pier and back (about 3 miles / ~2 hours), and all are welcome—friends, family, strollers, and even your furry friends! 🐶👟

And because Bruins know how to do community right… stick around after for a casual brunch! 🥂☀️ (location TBD)

Enjoy an exclusive guided campus tour, connect with alumni and friends, and recharge with a special wellness session, featuring stress-management tips and a relaxing beginner-friendly yoga class led by UCLA Recreation (please bring your own mat or towel). Light refreshments will be provided.

Whether you come to network, unwind, or simply explore UCLA’s scenic South Bay location, this event offers something for everyone.

Southbay Pier to Pier Walk

Grab a coffee, lace up your walking shoes, and join the UCLA South Bay Network for one of our most popular traditions, the Pier to Pier Walk! We’ll stroll along the scenic Strand from the Hermosa Beach Pier to the Manhattan Beach Pier, then make our way back to Hermosa Beach. Along the way, connect with fellow Bruins, enjoy lively conversation, and soak in the iconic ocean views that make the South Bay so special.

All are welcome—bring friends, family, strollers, and pets!

Please plan on gathering in front of the Kelly Lifeguard Memorial Statue by Hermosa Beach Pier at 9:45 so we can start walking close to 10:00am. The walk is about 3 miles and typically takes roughly 2 hours (though it feels really fast!). After the walk, you’re welcome to join us for a casual brunch at a local spot (location TBD).

👟 When: Sunday, April 12 at 10 AM

📍 Where: Hermosa Beach Pier, 11 Pier Ave, Hermosa Beach, CA 90254

💰 Cost: FREE!
