An eventful week for ARA!

Over the past week, our liquids team hot fired their liquid fueled engine once more, and our solids team launched their sub-scale rocket for the Spaceport America Cup!

Both of these tests help us progress further and provide us with data that is essential in further testing and producing our systems.

Stay tuned for more information about our progress!

We will be hosting our first business team workshop on March 7th at 6:30pm in Hardaway 252! It will cover marketing and advertising. It will be hosted by an outside speaker, the amazing professor Dempsey! We really want to make sure that we have good attendance as this is the FIRST BUSINESS TEAM SPEAKER IN ARA HISTORY. This workshop is open to anyone and everyone (even if you are not an ARA member) and is completely free. With the Q&A section, it should be about 1 hour. Anyone planning on running for any positions next year is highly encouraged to attend.

SEE YOU THERE!

Bringing to you, Learn with ARA #2!

Today at 6:30 pm CT, we will be joined by Jane Gillette on zoom to talk about Systems Engineering and how it applies to ARA! Jane was one of our past Presidents who contributed a lot to ARA! She will be talking about her works in ARA, her present-day job as a Systems Engineer at United Launch Alliance, and how it all ties together!

If you are interested in learning about how systems engineering works in the industry, and how you can start your preparation to be a systems engineer through ARA, this is highly recommended for you!

Please message us for the zoom link if interested.

We are starting the Learn with ARA series!
One of our main goals this semester is to conduct more technical and educational workshops for our members to benefit from! Our first training of the series is with Dr. Aslangil from the AEM department. Dr. Aslangil will teach basics about CFD and help getting started with ANSYS.

We widely use ANSYS for our simulations, so we are excited to have our new members learn this skill!
