Before we return to our regular organizational updates, we, the National Executive Board of Lambda Theta Phi, wanted to provide one final public update regarding Brother Luis Omar Andrade Garcia.

The fight is not over. Brother Luis, his family, and our Brotherhood will continue working toward his return. We remain committed to supporting our Dallas–Fort Worth brothers, the Andrade family, and our partners as they continue advocating for the best possible outcome.

Thank you to every Brother, supporter, donor, and advocate who stood with us over the past weeks. Your generosity, your voice, and your actions made a real difference.

A new fiscal year begins today.

Every accomplishment we've celebrated, every chapter we've supported, every brother we've helped, and every investment we've made into the future of Lambda Theta Phi has been possible because of the brothers that choose to remain active.

As we begin FY 2026–2027, we have ambitious goals and a renewed commitment to continue strengthening our fraternity. Your annual dues directly support the programs, technology, insurance, expansion, leadership development, and member services that keep our brotherhood moving forward.

Thank you to everyone who has shared Brother Luis Omar Andrade Garcia’s story this week.

Because of your generosity, Brother Andrade’s GoFundMe has raised more than $18,000 from nearly 400 individual donors. These funds will help Luis and his family navigate the immigration process.

Your support has been incredible; but our work isn’t finished. Brother Andrade remains in El Salvador, and he needs our community to keep the momentum going.

Today, we are launching an email campaign urging Senator Cornyn, Senator Cruz, Congressman Ellzey, Representative Bhojani, and Chancellor Pullin to take action and help bring Luis home to Texas.

Lambda Theta Phi Latin Fraternity, Inc. calls upon all brothers and community members to join us in demanding the immediate release of Brother Luis Andrade (Beta Pi, SP2025) from ICE detention. The last time we spoke with Luis, he was detained at the Central Louisiana ICE Processing Center, also known as the La Salle Detention Facility in Jena, LA. Unfortunately, at this time we fear that Brother Andrade may have already been deported. For 50 years, Lambdas have stood at the forefront of justice, fighting for the respect and dignity of Latinos. Today, we proudly answer that call yet again for our Brother Luis Andrade. Please support Brother Andrade and his family by donating to his GoFundMe.

Lambda Theta Phi Latin Fraternity, Inc., has always stood as a beacon for the advancement and dignity of our communities. We reaffirm that commitment as we strongly condemn the ongoing ICE raids and deportations. Lambda will support Lambdas. Lambdas stand with immigrants. And Lambdas will always fight for the safety and well-being of all our brothers.

Congratulations to Brother Ivan Flores (Alpha Delta, Fall 2010). Brother Flores is our 125th lifetime member through our initiative as gratitude for his years of commitment to the fraternity.
