Psychology major, Ethan, shares about his fall 2025 semester in Japan: "My decision to study abroad in Japan was one of the best decisions I made in my life. The KGU exchange program in Osaka gave me so many opportunities to meet new people and get an authentic cultural experience in Japan that let me understand their way of life. I learned so many good lessons on how to be my own person and to try new things, and I also forged many lifelong connections, including my engagement to my fiancée. I am forever grateful to my experience in Japan and I would do it all over again in a heartbeat."

Physics major, Vaughn, shares his experience at SVSU's exchange partner Kansai Gaidai University Fall 2025, "My time in Japan with Kansai Gaidai University was a phenomenal experience where I was able to make friends from all around the world and immerse myself in Japanese culture. Some of the highlights of my trip included climbing Mt. Fuji, having Tonkotsu ramen, and doing a Buddhist waterfall ritual. I did too many things to list here, but Japan offered a wealth of experiences that made it one of the best times of my life."

She shares about her experience, "Studying abroad in Ireland was the best thing that ever happened to me. I was able to travel to nearby countries and see as much of Ireland as possible. I felt my horizons broaden every day that I was there and could not be happier that I went. If you are considering study abroad, do it! It’s worth it."
