Get ready for an adventure “Into the Wild" at this year's SC 4-H Junior Weekend filled with fun, learning, and unforgettable memories!

Join us for the 2026 SC 4-H Junior Weekend, “Into the Wild”! Since 4 H began more than 100 years ago, it has become the nation’s largest youth development organization. The work and ideas of 4-H are even more relevant today helping young people and their families gain the skills needed to be proactive forces in their communities and develop ideas for a more innovative economy. South Carolina 4-H Junior Weekend is hosted at a traditional camp with lots of activities for fun, friends, and fellowship!

• SC FFA Leadership Center (1069 FFA Circle Rd, North Myrtle Beach, SC 29582)
• $175 for 4-H members (Enroll in 4HOnline for $15 before the registration deadline to attend)
• Ages 9-13 years of age (as of January 1, 2026)
• Check-in: Friday, May 1, 2026, between 4:00-4:30 PM
• Pickup: Sunday, May 3, 2026, at 10:00 AM

Registration Deadline for SC 4-H Junior Weekend is April 10, 2026, at 11:59 PM.

Youth must be approved, enrolled members in 4HOnline with South Carolina 4-H Youth Development to attend this event. This is a custodial care event. 🐐💚 Savannah Valley 4-H Dairy Goat Project Is Open for Registration! 💚🐐

From the barn to the show ring, Savannah Valley 4-H youth are learning what it takes to raise and care for dairy goats! Through the 4-H Dairy Goat Project, members gain hands-on experience in animal care, nutrition, health management, and showmanship while building confidence, responsibility, and leadership skills.
Participants work closely with their goats throughout the year—feeding, grooming, training, and preparing for livestock shows and exhibitions. Along the way, they also learn about the agriculture industry, dairy production, and the important role livestock plays in our communities.

🌱 Skills they gain:
• Animal care and management
• Responsibility and record keeping
• Confidence in the show ring
• Agricultural knowledge and career exploration

Whether they are new to livestock or experienced exhibitors, the Savannah Valley 4-H Dairy Goat Project gives youth the opportunity to grow their skills, build friendships, and develop a lifelong appreciation for agriculture.

**Join Us in the Hive: SC 4-H Honey Bee Project Now Open**

Registration is now open for the SC 4-H Honey Bee Project, made possible through our partnership with The Bee Cause Project, who understand that when we teach young people to care for pollinators, we're teaching them to care for the intricate web of life that sustains us all.

Every participant receives project support materials and a membership to the SC State Beekeepers Association. This is an invitation into a community of people who've learned that beekeeping is as much about patience and observation as it is about the sweet success of honey.

This project opens a door. What young people discover about ecosystems, responsibility, and the small actions that ripple outward supports 4-H youth in feeling Beyond Ready for work & life.

Applications Now Open for South Carolina Schools!

The South Carolina Department of Education Office of Health and Nutrition is excited to offer 12 schools the chance to receive a fully supported school garden this spring!
Selected schools will receive:
• Online training
• Turn-key school garden kits
• Ongoing support to help their gardens grow

This program brings hands-on agriculture and nutrition education directly to students while also encouraging schools to feature locally grown South Carolina produce on their menus.
