English Education certainly has its perks 😎

Kailee is a VCSU freshman majoring in English Education -- and her creative ability extends far beyond just English. The education building hosted a henna event today, and Kailee gladly represented the Language and Literature Department by using her skills on fellow students. Beautiful linework, Kailee!

Student Teacher Feature!
Meet Alliana Freund; she teaches 9th-grade Honors English at Prior Lake High School.

Hey Alliana, who is your favorite literary character and why?

"Since I’m fully teaching To Kill a Mockingbird during my student teaching, I’d have to choose Scout Finch as my favorite. She has zero filter, questions everything, and approaches the world with relentless curiosity, which feels identical to teaching 9th-grade Honors English every day!"

Want to learn more about what Alliana has to say about student teaching? Read what advice she has for future student teachers and her biggest "I'm really in charge" moment here!

Sometimes we can't see the glaring red flags. We only see hardcover books waiting to find a home on our shelves.

It's Homecoming Week! 🌈
Freshmen wore yellow, sophomores wore green, juniors wore orange, and seniors wore pink. Might as well match a book to the fit. Which story did you get?
