As a candidate for Victoria City Council, District 3, the continuation, successful completion, and coordinated implementation of the City’s various master plans is a priority for me. In addition, responsible decision making related to the allocation and use of the projected $14.5 million the City is expected to receive as part of the federal government’s “America Rescue Plan” is vital for Victoria
moving forward. In my view, it is imperative that those funds be used responsibly, effectively, and for the long-term benefit of Victoria’s taxpayers. Qualifications:

- 26+ years as a practicing attorney in Victoria
- B.S. Political Science from Texas A&M University
- J.D. from Texas Tech University
- Served on the Board of Directors for the Community Food Bank, Boys & Girls Club of Victoria, and VISD Education Foundation
- Service on the Financial Stewardship Team and Pastor's Advisors Team at Parkway Church
- Strong business background and keen understanding of small and mid-sized business issues including capitalization, staffing, and regulatory challenges
- Representation as outside general counsel for a number of governmental entities in the Crossroads area has provided me with valuable hands-on experience in all aspects of government including budgeting, infrastructure, long range strategic planning, public financing, and the all-important area of government transparency
