FOOTBALL CARD FRIDAY: Each week of the 2026 Purdue Football season, we’ll spotlight a alum’s historic performance against that week’s opponent.

This week, we’re remembering Ricardo Allen’s big play against Indiana State in 2013. The All-Big Ten defensive back preserved the Boilermakers’ 20-14 win over the Sycamores with a clutch interception at the Purdue 30-yard line with 20 seconds remaining.

The Atlanta Falcons selected Allen in the 2014 NFL draft, and he went on to play for the team for seven seasons.

The 2026 Boilermakers will kick off their season tonight against Indiana State at Ross-Ade Stadium. Tune in at 7 p.m. ET on Big Ten Network.
