Years into his career, Cody was ready for more.

He had the experience. He had built a career. But he knew earning a bachelor’s degree could open the door to what came next.

Starting with Gen Eds at WSU Tech, Cody found a flexible pathway to earn his bachelor's degree in Organizational Leadership & Learning (OLL) at Wichita State University while building on the experience he already had without putting his career or family on hold.

Because going back to school doesn’t always mean starting over. 🎓

Still thinking about starting school this fall?

WSU Tech has classes beginning in October, giving you another opportunity to start college this fall and keep moving toward your goals.

Several programs offer October-start classes, and if your program doesn’t, you may still be able to get started with general education courses during the second eight weeks.

You’re still making progress. You’re still earning college credit. And when January arrives, you’ll already have a head start. 🎓

WSU Tech was proud to host the 2026 Metallica Scholars Initiative Meet-Up in Wichita, welcoming representatives from community colleges across the U.S., Guam and the United Kingdom. 🤘

One of the most meaningful parts of the week was hearing directly from students and seeing the impact this initiative continues to have on those pursuing life-changing careers.

We were also proud to showcase Wichita and the partnerships, industries and people that make our community such a special place to live, learn and work.

Thank you to All Within My Hands Foundation, American Association of Community Colleges, our partners and everyone who joined us for a week of connection, collaboration and workforce education.

So proud to see WSU Tech students Sabasgin and Jakhia recognized as mikeroweWORKS Work Ethic Scholarship recipients.

They’re both training to become pilots, and we’re excited to see where their hard work takes them.💛

Both were recently recognized at the WSU Tech, and we love seeing schools celebrate students who are putting in the work! 🥳

A first for WSU Tech. A first for Kansas. 💛

WSU Tech’s National Center for Aviation Training has been named the 2026 recipient of the Frank G. Brewer Trophy by the National Aeronautic Association, one of the nation’s top honors in aerospace education.

This marks the first time the award has been presented to a two-year technical college and the first time it has been awarded to a Kansas-based organization!

We are incredibly proud of our students, faculty and industry partners for helping shape the future of aerospace right here in the Air Capital. ✈️🇺🇸
