🇺🇸 Today, on Memorial Day, we pause to honor the brave men and women who gave their lives in service to our country. It’s a time to reflect, remember, and express our deepest gratitude.

In that same spirit of service, we recently celebrated the inaugural graduating class of the Heroes MAKE America program at WSU Tech. This powerful partnership helps service members and veterans transition seamlessly and quickly into high-demand aviation careers.

Through a collaboration between The Manufacturing Institute, WSU Tech, Workforce Alliance of South Central Kansas, and Textron Aviation, this six-week Airframe & Powerplant (A&P) prep training program equips participants with the knowledge and hands-on experience needed to pursue FAA certification and enter the aviation workforce.

A special thank you to Lieutenant Governor Toland for his surprise visit and words of thanks to our graduates.

As the Air Capital of the World, Wichita is the perfect launchpad for this impactful program, and these graduates are now prepared to take flight into their next mission.

To our graduates: congratulations, and thank you for your service.

Memorial Day honors the brave men and women who gave their lives in service to our country. It’s a time to reflect, remember, and express our deepest gratitude for their sacrifice.

Aviation Degree and Certificate Programs Choose from a variety of Aviation degree and certificate programs to begin your path towards becoming a skilled professional in an aviation-related field. Train at our state-of-the-art campus, the National Center for Aviation Training (NCAT), to receive quality experience and skills that will prepare you for your career in Aerostructures, Avionics, Composites or even as an FAA approved Aviation Maintenance Technician. Healthcare Degree and Certificate Programs Choose from various Healthcare degree and certificate programs, which include CNA/CMA/HHA, Dental Assisting, Medical Assisting, Surgical Technology, Practical Nurse and more. High School Students can take free Technical courses or reduced general education courses through JumpStart. WSU Tech is accredited by the Higher Learning Commission (ncahlc.org) and governed by the Kansas Board of Regents. Credits earned at WSU Tech can easily transfer to other two- and four- year colleges like Butler Community College, Wichita State University, Friends University and many others.
