Yesterday, the Brothers of Gamma Upsilon proudly completed another successful Blood Drive, and this year’s event was truly special. We were blessed to welcome in some new faces and first time donors, including high school and college students. This is an owtstanding milestone for us as we continue working to inspire the next generation to become involved in serving our community.

A heartfelt thank you to Grant Chapel AME Church for continuing to provide a home for this important initiative, and to our faithful donors who continue to show up year after year. Your commitment makes this event possible. We would also like to recognize members of the Wichita community, including our sisters of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc. and Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc., who continues to come out and show their support. As Wichita completes it first full week of back to school, Gamma Upsilon would like to shine a light on the local students awarded scholarships during our 17th Annual We Do It For The Kids Golf Tournament held at Hidden Lakes Golf Course. Every summer our chapter is given the opportunity to invest directly in the future of our community, and these scholars truly represent excellence:

- Danielle Johnson, Omega Psi Phi Fraternity, 8th District Citizen of the year
- Zarya Harrison, (Northeast Magnet H.S.) 3.25 GPA — $500
- Jeremiah Johnson, (Derby H.S.) 4.0 GPA — $500

The Brothers of Gamma Upsilon were out in the community this morning, welcoming students back to school as we cheered on and supported Wichita USD 259’s annual Clap-In Event.

Our brothers were present at Brooks Middle School, Spaght Elementary School, Washington Elementary School, and Isley K–8, supporting a great start to the new school year.

The Brothers of the Gamma Upsilon was out in Maize, Kansas this morning volunteering as Kansas hosted its State Special Olympics Games. Our chapter showed up standing shoulder‑to‑shoulder with athletes, families, and supporters from across the sunflower state.

From cheering on athletes to assisting with events, our Brotherhood demonstrated what it truly means to uplift humanity. We are honored to play a small part in a day filled with courage, joy, and unforgettable achievements.

On Thursday, the Brothers of Gamma Upsilon Graduate Chapter of Omega Psi Phi Fraternity, Inc. attended the 72nd Annual Equal Opportunity Gala, hosted by the Urban League of Kansas—a longstanding pillar of civil rights advocacy and community empowerment in Wichita.

The Urban League continues its mission of advancing economic self‑reliance, educational opportunity, housing stability, health equity, and workforce development for underserved communities across Kansas.

We are proud to celebrate two of our own who were honored with distinguished awards for their leadership, service, and impact:
