This year has tested me in ways I never expected. Multiple freezes earlier this season wiped out well over half of the nursery, and much of what survived suffered heavy damage. Even now, there are still a handful of plants hanging on that I honestly didn’t expect to make it.

But sometimes growth comes from persistence. Long days, hard work, and more fungicide and antibiotic treatments than I can count seem to finally be making a difference. Seeing signs of recovery — even small ones — reminds me why I love this work so much.

Not every season is easy, but rebuilding something you care about is still a blessing.
