The purpose of Phi Theta Kappa shall be to recognize and encourage scholarship among two-year college students. To achieve this purpose, Phi Theta Kappa shall provide opportunity for the development of leadership and service, for an intellectual climate for exchange of ideas and ideals, for lively fellowship for scholars, and for stimulation of interest in continuing academic excellence.

At , our goal is changing lives and giving second chances!

We’re so to introduce the Beta Psi Gamma Chapter at Ingram State Technical College - ISTC. This is the first chartered chapter with membership comprised exclusively of incarcerated students.

On April 12, they had their first induction ceremony, at the Alabama Department of Corrections with PTK President and CEO Dr. Lynn Tincher-Ladner, and newly elected International President James Elliott as featured speakers.
