⚡️The new 2025/2026 academic year has begun at Samarkand State Medical University

From September 3 of this year, the new 2024-2025 academic year began for students admitted to the
1st cycle at all higher education institutions. Including at Samarkand State Medical University, the new academic year began in a festive mood. A ceremonial meeting was held in the new academic building of SamSTU early in the morning. The university management, professors and teachers, and students participated in it. Speaking at the event, the rector of Samarkand State Medical University, Professor Jasur Rizayev, congratulated all students on the new academic year and wished them success in their future studies. Also, the 1st-cycle students got acquainted with the university's classrooms and laboratories and the conditions created in them. The first-year students also visited the university history museum and learned about the establishment, development, and interesting history of the university. The first lessons were organized as independence lessons under the slogan "If we are united, we are one people, if we are united, we are our homeland!", and the memory of our ancestors who sacrificed their lives for our freedom and independence was commemorated.

Solemn presentation of diplomas to the first graduates of the Faculty of International Education of the Samarakand State Medical University

Currently, more than 2,000 foreign students are studying at the Faculty of International Education of State Medical University, based on world standards of medical education.
  On July 18 of this year, a solemn ceremony of awarding diplomas to the first graduates of the faculty was held at Samarkand State Medical University.
  The event was opened by the rector of the Samarkand State Medical University Jasur Rizaev, who wished the graduates success in their future professional activities and becoming mature specialists in their countries. At the event, a solemn presentation of bachelor's diplomas to 9 foreign students who graduated from the Faculty of International Education took place.
  At the end of the meeting, Jasjit Singh Alias ​​Kaka spoke on behalf of the graduates of the Faculty of International Education, who thanked the management and mentors from Samarqand State Medical University for the conditions created and quality education, and presented a letter of thanks to the rector of the university.

  On July 4, 26 graduates of the first clinical residency, who studied in 10 areas on the basis of a joint educational program of the Samarkand State Medical University with the Volga Research Medical University (PIMU), solemnly received their diplomas.

  Clinical residents during the 2 years of the joint training program had the opportunity to improve their knowledge and skills in the 1 + 1 form (1 year - at Samara State Medical University, 1 year - at PIMU).

  Also, graduates of clinical residency in order to participate in an important political process taking place in our country - the election of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan, visited and voted early at the polling station at the student hostel of PIMU.

  The first clinical coordinators of the two universities, as a keepsake, planted seedlings of ornamental trees around the student hostel "Birch Grove" of PIMU.

Celebrations of the holiday "Navruz" in Samaraqand State Medical University
On March 21, the spring holiday Navruz comes to the fertile land of Uzbekistan - a wonderful holiday of awakening the renewal of nature, kindness and mercy.
  This holiday as a symbol of peace and tolerance, in accordance with the resolution of the United Nations, is widely celebrated on March 21 as the International Day of Navruz. Everywhere in our country, in the valleys and oases, cities and villages, in parks and squares, folk festivals dedicated to Navruz are held with great enthusiasm.

  Festive celebrations in Samarkand were held in the Central Park of Culture and Leisure named after Alisher Navoi. Representatives of the Samarkand State Medical University took an active part in the celebrations.
  Representatives of the teaching staff, employees and students of the university were at the organization of celebrations from the very morning. Rector Jasur Rizaev warmly congratulated all the participants. The festive mood was brought to the participants by creative performances, songs and dances of students, a generous festive dastarkhan. The guests of the holiday were especially impressed by the performances in national attire of the students of the Faculty of International Education of the Samara State Medical University. According to a good tradition, all participants in the celebrations were treated to a festive pilaf.
  The festive celebrations were attended by the leaders of the region and the city, labor veterans and guests of the city of Samarkand.
