Brandi Wentland is a Chico State alumni from the Communication Sciences and Disorders major. Currently, she is an accomplished speech-language pathologist specializing in augmentative and alternative communication. Wentland highlighted how her time at Chico State was important in shaping her career and her relationships going forward with her career.

“The department has always been so supportive of me and other students; it really does feel like family,” Wentland said.

Dr. Carolina Alvarado has served Chico State for the past five years. She is passionate about helping students learn valuable tools they can implement in the classroom once they begin their careers.

“We’re always trying to figure out how we can improve the courses to support the students better,” Alvarado explains.
