Public office is a public trust.

In line with the observance of accountability and transparency of public office and officials, the Commission on Audit (COA), together with the Laguna State Polytechnic University (LSPU), held an exit conference for Fiscal Year 2025 at CIHTM Hall, May 6.

In his message, Dr. Mario R. Briones, University President, highlighted the milestone and shared commitment to transparency, accountability, and continuous improvement in public service.

Pres. Briones also recognized that the audit process is not merely a compliance requirement but also a valuable opportunity to reflect on our systems, strengthening our practices, and upholding the trust placed in us.

l 𝗟𝗦𝗣𝗨 𝗽𝗿𝗼𝗱𝘂𝗰𝗲𝘀 𝟯 𝘁𝗼𝗽 𝗻𝗼𝘁𝗰𝗵𝗲𝗿𝘀 𝗶𝗻 𝗠𝗮𝗿𝗰𝗵 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟲 𝗟𝗘𝗣𝗧

Laguna State Polytechnic University (LSPU) recorded notable performances in the March 2026 Licensure Examination for Professional Teachers (LEPT), producing multiple topnotchers and competitive campus passing rates in both Elementary and Secondary levels.

In the Secondary Level, LSPU produced two top-performing examinees. Chibie G. Victoria of LSPU-San Pablo City Campus ranked Top 5 with a rating of 94.20%, while Deniel B. Ramirez of LSPU-Los Baños Campus placed Top 7 with 93.80%.

In the Elementary Level, Juhaira C. Escleto of LSPU-Siniloan Campus secured Top 5 with a score of 93.80%, further strengthening the university’s presence among the examination’s highest scorers.

Indicated below are the results of the examination per campus:

In its second year of participation, the Laguna State Polytechnic University (LSPU) has secured a spot in the World University Rankings for Innovations (WURI) 2026: Global Top 500 Innovative Universities, landing Rank 337, May 7.

From last year’s three spots, the LSPU also secured nine programs ranked among the 24 categories of the said ranking body.

Communities in Laguna are seeing a renewed appreciation for something long familiar yet often overlooked: underutilized fruit trees.

Through the FRUTERRA Project of Laguna State Polytechnic University-Siniloan Campus (LSPU-SC), spearheaded by the College of Computer Studies (CCS) and College of Agriculture (CA), these trees are becoming powerful resources for improving livelihoods, protecting the environment, and strengthening local knowledge.

FRUTERRA is more than a project: it is a community-centered initiative that helps people rediscover the value of underutilized fruit trees. By encouraging the planting and propagation of these trees, the program supports food security, creates potential sources of income, and contributes to restoring local biodiversity.

The LSPU extends its appreciation to our partners, Laguna Courier - The Voice of the People Newspaper and Tribune Post Regional Newspaper, for sharing this initiative.
