This is how much I love our democracy! After working as an election inspector in Michigan's primary yesterday I have incredible confidence in the integrity and importance of our electoral system and renewed respect for the thousands of people who make it possible for our votes to be counted and voices to be heard.

Democracy works when we participate in it. I hope that you'll join me between now and November in registering to vote and getting as many of your friends and family also registered. And also learning how to vote whether in person or absentee. Albion College will help you...more coming this Fall...

Part of a strong liberal arts experience is developing your skills of citizenship. We want to help you learn how to vote and become active in the governance of your community because your voice and your vote matters.

On this occasion we affirm that the Political Science department is committed to protecting the equal rights and dignity of our LGBTQ students. While much work remains to achieve full equality, we stand with you and are prepared to do that work alongside you and all members of the Albion College community as we work to eradicate systemic discrimination against our LGBTQ community members.
