This is to respectfully remind all faculty members and students of the upcoming academic deadlines: The deadline for submission of grades for graduating students is January 5, 2026, while grades for non‑graduating students must be submitted on or before January 9, 2026. In addition, the deadline for submitting applications for graduation is January 16, 2026.

We kindly urge everyone concerned to comply with the prescribed dates to ensure timely processing of academic records. Your prompt cooperation is greatly appreciated.

​Mindanao State University (MSU) - Main Campus continues its streak of academic excellence, producing 232 new registered nurses in the November 2025 Nurses Licensure Examination (NLE), highlighted by a top 7 finish.

​Leading the university’s newest batch of healthcare professionals is Sittie Nor-Ashya A. Aliponto, RN, who secured the 7th spot nationally. Aliponto garnered an impressive rating of 92.60%, bringing honor to the university and the College of Health Sciences.​The university posted a remarkable performance for the licensure exam, with a passing rate of 97.77% for first-time takers and a national passing rate of 96.55%.

​The Mindanao State University extends its profound congratulations to all passers of the November 2025 Nurses Licensure Examination. The university lauds their dedication and hard work, wishing them success as they join the nation's healthcare workforce.

The 𝗠𝗦𝗨 𝗠𝗮𝗿𝗮𝘄𝗶 𝗖𝗮𝗺𝗽𝘂𝘀 𝗖𝗼𝘂𝗻𝗰𝗶𝗹 𝗠𝗲𝗲𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗘𝗻 𝗕𝗮𝗻𝗰 2025 was convened on November 25, 2025 at the 𝗜𝗻𝘁𝗲𝗿𝗻𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝗮𝗹 𝗖𝗼𝗻𝘃𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗖𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗲𝗿, bringing together the University’s academic leaders, and esteemed professors for key institutional deliberations. Organized by the Office of the University Registrar, the meeting served as an important venue for collective decision-making and strengthened academic governance.

Presided over by VPAA and concurrent VCAA 𝗗𝗿. 𝗠𝗶𝗻𝗲𝗿𝘃𝗮-𝗦𝗮𝗺𝗶𝗻𝗮𝗵 𝗠. 𝗡𝗮𝗴𝗮 on behalf of MSU President 𝗔𝘁𝘁𝘆. 𝗣𝗮𝗶𝘀𝗮𝗹𝗶𝗻 𝗣.𝗗. 𝗧𝗮𝗴𝗼, 𝗖𝗣𝗔, and assisted by University Registrar 𝗗𝗿. 𝗔𝗻𝘀𝗮𝗻𝗼 𝗠. 𝗔𝗺𝗽𝗼𝗴 as Secretary of the Council, the session was also graced by 𝗠𝗦𝗨 𝗦𝘆𝘀𝘁𝗲𝗺 𝗣𝗿𝗲𝘀𝗶𝗱𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝗔𝘁𝘁𝘆. 𝗣𝗮𝗶𝘀𝗮𝗹𝗶𝗻 𝗣. 𝗗. 𝗧𝗮𝗴𝗼, 𝗖𝗣𝗔, Executive Vice President 𝗗𝗿. 𝗔𝗯𝗱𝘂𝗹𝗰𝗮𝗱𝗲𝗿 𝗠. 𝗔𝘆𝗼, Dean 𝗗𝗿. 𝗛𝘆𝗱𝗲𝗲 𝗚. 𝗖𝗮𝗯𝗶𝗹𝗱𝗼, Former VPAA 𝗗𝗿. 𝗔𝗹𝗺𝗮 𝗘. 𝗕𝗲𝗿𝗼𝘄𝗮, members of the Transition Committee, the 17 College Deans, Department Chairpersons, Faculty members and staff of the academic and semi-academic units of the university.

The agenda focused on the 𝙙𝙚𝙡𝙞𝙗𝙚𝙧𝙖𝙩𝙞𝙤𝙣 𝙤𝙛 𝙘𝙖𝙣𝙙𝙞𝙙𝙖𝙩𝙚𝙨 𝙛𝙤𝙧 𝙜𝙧𝙖𝙙𝙪𝙖𝙩𝙞𝙤𝙣 𝙛𝙤𝙧 𝙩𝙝𝙚 1𝙨𝙩 𝙎𝙚𝙢𝙚𝙨𝙩𝙚𝙧 𝘼.𝙔. 2025–2026, including the recommendation of additional candidates. The Council also received the report of Dean Haydee G. Cabildo, Presiding Chairperson of the Special Committee Meeting held on October 1, 2025. Other discussions included the proposal to rename the Marketing Department to the Department of Marketing and Innovation and the presentation of amendments to the revised curricula of the BA Psychology, BS Psychology, and MA Psychology programs.

In his concluding message, President Tago reaffirmed his commitment to 𝙛𝙖𝙘𝙪𝙡𝙩𝙮 𝙙𝙚𝙫𝙚𝙡𝙤𝙥𝙢𝙚𝙣𝙩, 𝙖𝙘𝙖𝙙𝙚𝙢𝙞𝙘 𝙚𝙭𝙘𝙚𝙡𝙡𝙚𝙣𝙘𝙚, and establishing MSU Marawi as a 𝙢𝙤𝙙𝙚𝙡 𝙘𝙖𝙢𝙥𝙪𝙨 𝙛𝙤𝙧 𝙘𝙡𝙚𝙖𝙣𝙡𝙞𝙣𝙚𝙨𝙨, 𝙤𝙧𝙙𝙚𝙧, 𝙖𝙣𝙙 𝙬𝙚𝙡𝙡-𝙗𝙚𝙞𝙣𝙜, supported by vital infrastructure that enhances both faculty and student welfare.

Through these deliberations, the Council underscored its ongoing dedication to strengthening MSU’s academic standards and advancing its mission of responsive and inclusive education.

The MSU-Marawi Special Council Committee Meeting, facilitated by the Office of the University Registrar, is currently underway. The meeting brings together deans of various colleges and department chairpersons of Mindanao State University–Marawi to deliberate on the candidates for graduation for the First Semester of A.Y. 2025–2026.

Serving as presiding chairperson is Dr. Haydee G. Cabildo, Dean of the College of Medicine. The session is also honored by the presence of the newly appointed Executive Vice President, Dr. Abdulcader M. Ayo.

Each college is given the opportunity to present its candidates for graduation, subject to verification by the Office of the University Registrar.

We extend our warmest and most heartfelt congratulations to Dr. Rasid M. Paca, RME, JD, on his designation as the Officer-in-Charge (OIC) President of the Mindanao State University System, effective June 10, 2025, as approved by the MSU Board of Regents.

This is more than just a new role. It is a meaningful continuation of a lifetime of service.

For more than thirty years, Dr. Paca has dedicated himself to the MSU System—as a faculty member, chairperson, college dean, Vice President for Planning and Development, and Executive Vice President. He has helped shape the university not only with his knowledge and leadership, but with deep care and commitment.

In some of the most difficult moments in MSU’s history, such as the Marawi Siege in 2017, the COVID-19 pandemic, and many other unseen challenges, Dr. Paca stood firm. Along with other committed leaders, he helped ensure that the university continued to move forward, no matter how hard the times became. He has always answered the call—ready to take on any role when duty demands it. Time and again, he has stepped forward to uphold the mandates of the University and to serve its greatest stakeholders: the students.

His story is a quiet but powerful reminder that true leadership is not about position, but presence. His steady hand, calm voice, and deep loyalty have guided the university through change and uncertainty. As he steps into this new role as OIC President, we find assurance in his leadership, rooted in years of experience, grounded in integrity, and deeply inspired by his enduring commitment to the University and its community.
