📚🎓 Last week, the Faculty of Arts and Design (FAD) hosted a three-day workshop for doctoral students participating in the Faculty’s Doctoral Academy.
Facilitated by FAD Executive Dean, Professor Pholoho Morojele, the workshop provided students with valuable guidance and support to help them navigate their research journeys and complete their studies successfully. Participants engaged in meaningful discussions about their research topics, shared their progress, and reflected on the challenges and opportunities they encounter as doctoral candidates.
Launched in 2025, the FAD Doctoral Academy is the brainchild of Professor Morojele and was established to facilitate PhD completion and support academic and professional growth. The Academy is founded on the belief that doctoral education should be transformative, dialogue-driven, and responsive to the unique rhythms of creative and performative scholarship.
We are proud to support the next generation of researchers, scholars, and creative thinkers as they contribute new knowledge and innovation to the arts and design sector.
