On Saturday, 5 September 2026, our talented Mathematics students came together for an exciting Maths Olympiad, putting their knowledge, problem-solving skills, speed and teamwork to the ultimate test! 🔢🧠✨
It was a day filled with challenge, competition, learning and fun, as our students demonstrated that Mathematics is not just about numbers—it is about critical thinking, creativity and finding solutions to difficult problems.
👏 A huge congratulations to all the students who participated and gave their very best. Your dedication and determination make us proud!

Pentagon College would like to inform all students that the Engineering students will be undertaking an educational observational trip to Tharisa Mine in the North West Province from Tuesday 25 August to 28 August 2026.
The trip forms part of the College’s efforts to expose students to real-world industry environments and practical applications of classroom knowledge. During the visit, the Engineering students will have an opportunity to observe mining operations, engineering processes, machinery, equipment, maintenance practices and workplace safety procedures.
This observational experience is particularly important because it will enable the students to:
1. Connect theoretical knowledge with practical engineering applications.
2. Gain exposure to a real mining and industrial environment.
3. Observe the use of engineering machinery and technology.
4. Develop a better understanding of workplace health and safety practices.
5. Interact with professionals working in the mining and engineering industry.
6. Gain valuable insight into possible career opportunities within the engineering sector.
7. Appreciate the importance of professionalism, discipline and teamwork in the workplace.
The trip also demonstrates Pentagon College’s commitment to providing students with meaningful learning experiences beyond the classroom and preparing them for the demands of the workplace.
