Hello, my name is Chama Kimberly Kubombela, a first-year student at the University College of Ndola, and I would love to share with you my experience so far at the University College of Ndola.

Iโ€™m currently in first year in the School Medicine, and so far itโ€™s been one of the best decisions Iโ€™ve made. From day one, the environment made me feel at home and welcome.

Iโ€™ve made amazing friends whoโ€™ve made university life so much easier and more fun. Shout out to Nyongani Daka, Taonga, Towera Nyirenda, and Maureen Zimba โ€“ you guys are the reason I look forward to campus every day, aside from learning, of course. Everyone here is down to earth, welcoming, and genuinely supportive. Itโ€™s rare to find a place where you can laugh with people one minute and have serious academic discussions the next.

The lecturers here at Unicon, like Mr Bwalya, Dr Emmanuel, Mr Kachaba, and Mr Chibika, are both educated and approachable. These are just a few of the many other lecturers we have. They know their subjects inside out but also take time to explain things clearly and make sure we understand. No arrogance, no gatekeepingโ€”just top-notch teaching from people who actually care that you get it, which matters a lot in a demanding program like Medicine and Surgery.

Iโ€™m also serving as the Secretary and Prime Minister of the Student Union, and so far itโ€™s been a great experience. Itโ€™s taught me a lot about communication, organization, and working with people. The Student Union is active and listens to students, so being part of it feels meaningful.

To add on, itโ€™s not all books and lectures either. The recreational activities we have on campus keep things balanced. From sports days to cultural events and student meetups, thereโ€™s always something happening to unwind and connect with other students.

Overall, Unicon has given me the right mix of academics and friendship, and the opportunity to get involved while studying my program. The University College of Ndola is it. And trust me when I tell you that it will be worth your while.

My experience at The University College of Ndolahas been one of the most exciting, educational, and life-changing journeys of my life. Since joining the institution, I have gained a lot of knowledge academically, socially, and personally. The college environment has helped me become more confident, responsible, and independent.

One of the most enjoyable parts of my experience has been meeting new people from different backgrounds and cultures. I have made meaningful friendships, shared ideas, and learnt how to cooperate and communicate well with others. Through group discussions, class projects, and campus activities, I have improved my teamwork and leadership skills.

Academically, college has opened my mind to new concepts and ways of thinking. The lectures, assignments, and practical lessons have challenged me to work harder and become more focused on my future goals. I have learnt how to manage my time better, study independently, and handle responsibilities more seriously.

Apart from academics, I have also enjoyed participating in different activities and events on campus. These experiences have made college life more fun and exciting. I have had opportunities to interact with lecturers and fellow students, explore new ideas, and discover talents and abilities I did not know I had. Another important experience has been adapting to a completely new environment and lifestyle. At first, it was challenging, but with time I became comfortable and learnt how to face challenges positively. Being away from my usual surroundings taught me resilience, maturity, and how to make important decisions on my own.

The experience has also allowed me to learn more about people, society, and life in general. I have become more open-minded, understanding, and motivated to achieve success. Every moment at the University College of Ndola has contributed to my growth and has helped shape the person I am becoming.

Overall, my time at the University College of Ndola has been filled with learning, adventure, friendship, personal growth, and unforgettable memories. It has truly been an amazing experience that I will always treasure.

Hello , my name is Maureen Zimba. I am a second-year student in the School of Medicine at University College of Ndola.

I recently joined the university, and my time here has been filled with diverse and enriching experiences, from engaging lectures to meaningful interactions with fellow students. This is my first time studying at a newly established institution, which has been a unique experience, especially being part of a smaller student body.

We have experienced and friendly lecturers who make learning enjoyable. The classes are particularly interesting, especially Human Anatomy. The learning approach is student-centered, enabling us to gain a deeper understanding and get the most out of each lecture.

With the small number of students, I have had the opportunity to interact with everyone and build strong connections. I have formed close bonds with my amazing group of friends, Taonga and Towera (the twins), Kimberly, and Elvis. Spending time with them has been filled with laughter, joy, and happiness. Of course, we have faced challenges along the way, but we have always overcome them together as a team.

My class is made up of competitive and vibrant students who are always ready to take on each dayโ€™s tasks. Being at this university has helped me become more confident, curious, independent, academically driven, and outspoken.

I now see life and school from a whole new perspective, thanks to The University College of Ndola, the light tower of knowledge!
