๐’๐š๐ญ๐ฒ๐ž๐ง๐๐ซ๐š ๐๐š๐ญ๐ก ๐๐จ๐ฌ๐ž, born January 1, 1894, abandoned classical assumptions and returned to ๐—ฐ๐—ผ๐—บ๐—ฏ๐—ถ๐—ป๐—ฎ๐˜๐—ผ๐—ฟ๐—ถ๐—ฎ๐—น first principlesโ€”and in doing so, corrected an error that had quietly haunted thermodynamics for decades. But what began as recalculation revealed something deeper: identity, at the quantum level, is not a property of matter. When identity dissolves, unity emerges. The ๐๐จ๐ฌ๐ž-๐„๐ข๐ง๐ฌ๐ญ๐ž๐ข๐ง ๐‚๐จ๐ง๐๐ž๐ง๐ฌ๐š๐ญ๐ž is the moment particles cease to be plural.

That hyphen carries its own history. When a British journal saw nothing in his paper, Einstein saw everythingโ€”translated it himself, extended it, and put both their names on a new foundation of physics. A Bengali lecturer and a German legend, recognizing the same truth across continents.

The Nobel never came. But every ๐—ฏ๐—ผ๐˜€๐—ผ๐—ป in the universe carries his name.

HAPPY FIBONACCI DAY
November 23 is Fibonacci Day, an annual holiday that honors one of the most influential mathematicians of the Middle Ages - Leonardo Bonacci.
Fibonacci Day is celebrated on November 23rd to honor Italian mathematician Leonardo of Pisa (also known as Fibonacci) and his famous number sequence. The date 11/23 was chosen because the digits 1,1,2,3 are the first four numbers in his sequence. Fibonacci is also celebrated for popularizing the Hindu-Arabic numeral system in Europe through his 1202 book, Liber Abaci.

Natural and mathematical significance:
The day celebrates the sequence's appearance in many areas of nature, such as the arrangement of petals on flowers, the spirals in pinecones and sunflowers, and the structure of a nautilus shell. It also has significant mathematical applications.

Al-Biruni calculated the Earth's radius to be approximately 6,339.9 km (or 6,336 km in some sources), which is an incredibly close estimate for his time. He used a method involving trigonometry, the height of a mountain, and measuring the angle of the horizon's dip from the mountaintop. This calculation was highly accurate, with a margin of error of less than 1% compared to modern measurements.

Al-Biruni's method:
Concept: Al-Biruni understood that the Earth's curvature causes the horizon to appear lower from a mountaintop than from sea level.
Height measurement: He determined the height of a mountain by measuring the angle of elevation from two different points on flat ground.
Horizon dip: Using an astrolabe, he measured the angle of dip (or depression) of the horizon below the horizontal line from the mountaintop.
Calculation: He applied the law of sines to the large triangle formed by the Earth's center, the mountaintop, and the horizon to calculate the Earth's radius.
Result: His calculation for the radius was about 6,339.9 km, and his estimate for the circumference was within 0.3% of today's accepted value.
