💗 Breast Cancer Awareness at CUA

CUA organized a breast cancer awareness event bringing the university community together to spread hope, raise awareness, and show solidarity with those affected by breast cancer through meaningful activities, including writing messages of hope for cancer patients in collaboration with the Emirates Cancer Society, creating personalized charms, and decorating cookies.

Together, we continue to promote awareness, compassion, and support.

نظّمت الجامعة فعالية للتوعية بسرطان الثدي، جمعت الطلاب لنشر الأمل وتعزيز الوعي والتعبير عن التضامن مع المصابين بالسرطان، من خلال أنشطة هادفة شملت كتابة رسائل الأمل لمرضى السرطان بالتعاون مع جمعية الإمارات للسرطان، وتصميم التعليقات المميزة، وتزيين البسكويت.

As part of the College of Media’s commitment to enhancing experiential learning and connecting academic knowledge with professional practice, students from the Digital Photography and Multimedia courses, under the supervision of Ms. Faten Aljazzar, participated in a photography workshop titled “From Capturing Moments to Preserving History: The Evolution of Photography and Visual Storytelling.”

The workshop took place at the Sharjah Institute for Heritage, in celebration of World Day for Audiovisual Heritage.

The workshop was delivered by photographer Mohammed Abdelwahab, in collaboration with Sony, with the participation of UBMS and the Emirates Photography Society.

The session provided students with valuable insights into the evolution of photography and the importance of visual storytelling in documenting UAE heritage and preserving cultural memory, while offering an opportunity to learn from industry professionals.

في إطار حرص كلية الإعلام بجامعة المدينة عجمان على تعزيز التعلم التطبيقي وربط المعرفة الأكاديمية بالخبرات المهنية، شارك طلبة مساق التصوير الرقمي، بإشراف الأستاذة فاتن الجزار، في ورشة تصوير فوتوغرافي بعنوان «من توثيق اللحظات إلى حفظ التاريخ: تطور التصوير الفوتوغرافي والسرد البصري»، في معهد الشارقة للتراث، تزامنًا مع الاحتفاء باليوم العالمي للتراث السمعي والبصري.

قدّم الورشة المصور محمد عبد الوهاب، بالتعاون مع شركة سوني (Sony)، وبمشاركة شركة UBMS وجمعية الإمارات للتصوير الضوئي.

أتاحت الورشة للطلبة فرصة التعرف إلى تطور التصوير الفوتوغرافي وأهمية السرد البصري في توثيق التراث الإماراتي والحفاظ على الذاكرة الثقافية، إلى جانب الاستفادة من الخبرات المهنية في مجال التصوير.
