RIT Dubai celebrated academic excellence at the Research Poster Competition on May 1st. Sixteen participants showcased their research, fostering community engagement and critical thinking. Congratulations to first prize winner Archit Khurana and second prize winner naqiya hathiari!

RIT Dubai students lately participated in the A2RL Autonomous Racing STEM Challenge held in Abu Dhabi by AbuDhabi Autonomous Racing League. Our team passed the first screening and got selected among the top 8 teams out of 17, in the final race they made it to the 3rd place.

Every year, RIT brings together students from across the global campuses to showcase their projects to the entire community at Imagine RIT. Imagine RIT is an international convention showcasing cutting-edge work by technical students. This year, a group of students ( Nart, Zoya and Syed) from RIT Dubai presented their project: AI powered model of the Burj Khalifa. The project aims to control lights on Burj Khalifa using hand gestures and was developed by the students at the Dubai campus.

Congratulations to Ayra Irfan and Nehal Churyto, RIT Dubai Psychology students, who have been inducted by The International Honor Society in Psychology! https://www.psichi.org/

Both students are in their second year studying Psychology at RIT Dubai , and were drawn to Psychology because of their desire to learn more about social psychology and their willingness to understand behaviours of people around them. Ayra is interested in pursuing a career in Industrial and Organizational Psychology and plans to minor in Business Administration. She is also the Secretary on the eBoard for Psi Chi at RIT. While Neha, has a bachelor degree in Architecture from JNTU India. She intends to specialize in Clinical Psychology after her bachelor degree and hopes to pursue a doctoral degree.

Seven different schools from the UAE competed in the first ever Sports Clash Tournament at RIT Dubai. The schools competed in both Basketball and Soccer where they showed exceptional atheltic skills! Congratulations to all winners, we look forward to seeing you on campus soon!

Dr. Ghalib Kahwaji, from the mechanical and Industrial Engineering department participated in the 3rd SDG11 Council meeting presided by H.E. Suhail Al-Mazroui, Minister of Energy and Infrastructure UAE.

Dr. Ghalib discussed the progress and map the way forward to the COP28 which is to be held in November 2023. During the meeting, Dr. Ghalib also shared the contributions of RIT Dubai.

Good Luck to the sailingtigers, who will be representing RIT Dubai and the UAE during the Monaco Energy Boat Challenge! The students will be competing within the Energy Category against 13 more teams from different global universities.
